I would like to see a topic on exercising for pregnant women. How can they exercise and stay in shape , yet still maintain a healthy weight gain for the unborn child.

Good question… I feel like you already cover so many of the topics I’m curious about! I’ll second the request to discuss breastfeeding. I always wonder what vegan moms do if their bodies don’t produce enough breastmilk for some reason – like how you supplement that food so baby gets the nutrition s/he needs! I don’t know that I trust soy formula, but I’d hate to give dairy to a baby, too. Tough decisions! I’m nowhere near ready to have a baby, but this is something I always wonder about!

I would love to see a post of your pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy nutrition plans. I know you did posts in the past on what you did to prepare for pregnancy, but I think it would be really cool to have your nutrition plan for conception preparation, nutrition plans for all trimesters (how they differed, why you added certain foods/supplements, etc.), and your future nutrition plan for breastfeeding and rebuilding the body after birth. This might be better suited for your kristen’s raw blog. Outside of that, I would love to see a post on eco-friendly furniture.

i would love to see healthy food recipes for vegan babies

I have grandkids now, so I'm out of “mommy mode” … however, I would LOVE to see things about raising very young vegan kids … And any discussion about breastfeeding I think would be valuable … I breastfed my kids in the late 1980s, when it was somewhat odd to do it at all, much less for three years (I was SO glad I did! … Le Leche League was invaluable).

I'd like to see you write a post about addressing handling the social pressures of raising a child vegan.

I always have people give to myself or my children “bath & body” gifts as well as “sweets” gifts that always fall under the category of “I would never put them on my body or in my body”. I would love to hear your thoughts on baby vaccinations. My sister-in-law just had her first baby, and is now having to figure out which vaccinations she is comfortable with giving her 2-month old! (she's not really comfortable with ANY of them!) She and I both follow high-raw, mostly vegan diets, so I feel like I'm learning a lot through her experience!

I would love to hear your thoughts on co-sleeping. I struggled with getting my children to sleep in the crib–and when they did I couldn't sleep because the monitor picked up every little noise and I kept wondering if they were ok. All 3 of my children slept in our bed and never got rolled on and I was able to sleep like a baby. My youngest is now 5 and beside the occasional bad dream, sleeps just fine in his bed.

I'd like to know your thoughts on why many raw vegans feed their kids cooked and/or non-vegan foods, often because they don't want their kids to be missing out on any key nutrients. Why do they feel the need to make sure if they themselves are sure that the raw vegan lifestyle is the healthiest for them? Seems contradictory, yet common. Are there key nutrients in cooked/non-vegan foods that growing kids need?

RE: green/mommy things I would like to read more about on your blog – your thoughts on vaccinations and medications for babies. Tylenol just recalled a whole bunch of their infant medication which scares me to death. Even when it isn't in recall mode I'm not a big fan of the stress it puts on baby's stomach/kidneys and it often contains red dye No. 40. The evil red dye!! So, I'd like to hear more about alternatives that you have found in your research.

making baby food (test the gadgets for us!) and to the last poster…my son loves to compost! he takes my juicer scraps and whatever else I collect during the day down to the bin and gives it a spin…he peeks in and gives me the daily report. We are testing out the new compostable chip bags to see how long it takes to break down!

Any info related to diabetes or pre-diabetes and what foods to avoid vs. what foods can heal that. It runs in my family (we all ate the same for the better part of our lives, just the last year or two have gone to a moderate-high raw diet.)

I'd like to see recipes for some simple home cleaners and more DIY stuff (not just product reviews).

Hi there. I would love to hear more about G-Diapers. I know you're going the EC route, but I have always been curious about the practical usage of G-Diapers. Wondering what you're thinking about for when you do need somethin on the bum!

I'm really interested in learning how to simpify the amount of home cleaning products with homemade options that are versatile and effective. I'm also very interested in learning about your experience with the EC process…how well it works for you…is it worth it…etc. I don't have a child yet, but would love to someday and am seriously considering EC as well as home birthing! Other areas of interest: foods that help to alleviate allergies, eating properly to help balance wacky hormones (especially for skin related matters), breastfeeding (dealing with the public, how long, sharing milk with other moms)….

It would really help me if you posted more about the specific foods that you're eating in order to have a healthy vegan pregnancy. I'm also interested in more future posts about skin care and any issues that you have come across, as well as which products aside from Dr Alkaitis have worked or haven't worked for you.

I think it would be interesting to discuss “intuitive” parenting. People talk a lot about intuitive eating but what about parenting? Many parents have shelves and shelves of books about parenting and I wonder if sometimes those books stand between mother and child. As in, the mother acts based on the books not the child.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have been following both of your blogs for a while and love them. This is the first time I comment though. I have a child that is deadly allergic to tomatoes, chocolate and any kinds of nuts (at least those are the ones we know of for now), actually I am wondering if she is allergic to seeds too. Have you had any experience with this and what would you suggest is the best way to make sure she has all her nutrition being raw/vegan.
I would love to try the skincare since a lot of products have cocoa butter or coconut in them to which she is allergic to too.

I would like to learn more about allergies, as my 2 yo son has it. And to my shame I can’t tell him ‘no’ when he asks me to give him, say, oranges that cause allergic reaction. And I would also like to know if allergies can cause heart pain at all or not (maybe it sounds stupid but when I was a child doctors did related my heart pain to my allergies; so I’d like to know if it’s true or not, maybe at that time it was a doctors’ mistake).
