Using glass mason jars is a GREAT way to make your life a little more green. Glass is better for the environment and for your health (no toxic BPAs there!). I use glass mason jars of all sizes to grow sprouts, drink smoothies and water, store sauces, sauerkraut, dressings, and to keep all of the goodies I buy in bulk such as hemp seeds, chia seeds, nuts, dried fruits, grains, and so much more (as you can see from the picture, this is a glimpse into one of my freezers). You can even use glass mason jars with the Food Saver machine to keep your foods extra fresh (you need the mason jar attachment from Food Saver for this).
